1.How to Register at IRCTC Website to Book Train Tickets.
Step 1: Visit IRCTC website and Register.
Step 2: Click on Sign Up Link and you will redirected to Registration page
Step 3: Make sure to Enter correct Details listed below while filling out the Registration Form .Mobile number and Email address is very important because this is where you will get ticket confirmation details.

- Security Question
- First name
- Last name
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Occupation
- Aadhaar Card
- Email ID
- Mobile
- Nationality
- Residential Address
You can also opt for other Services like Subscription to IRCTC New letters/ Promotions/IRCTC SBI Card through email/ SMS
Step 4: Enter Captcha and Click Submit.
2.How to Book Train Tickets and Make Payments
Step 1: Once you get the username and password, just login to IRCTC Website https://www.irctc.co.in .
Step 2: You will be redirected to a page where you need to Enter Source Station and Destination Station in Plan MY Travel Section.
Step 3: Enter the Date of Journey.
Step 4: Select the Type of ticket whether it is E-Ticket/ I-Ticket. If you select I-Ticket, then you will receive ticket through Post.
Step 5: Select the quota like General, Tatkal or Ladies.
In case of Emergency, If you want a ticket before 24 hours of departure then select Tatkal quota.
Step 6: Click on Find Trains.
Step 7: List of trains available on that route will be displayed and there you need to Select the train and click on class field in which you want to travel. You are able to see the available Train and its total Fare
In order to confirm Booking Click on Book Now
3.How to Confirm Booking on train Tickets.
Step 1: You need to follow above steps and need to Enter Basic Information like Name, Age, Sex and many more.Unless you are a fast typist. if you are a regular typist then it’s very hard to get tickets online under tatkal quota.

Step 4: Verify Details and Click On Make Payment.
